Philips adquiere la plataforma de teleradiología de Radiology Direct

Sus nuevos servicios de teleradiología se basan en la reciente adquisición de la plataforma de teleradiología de Radiology Direct (Coeur d’ Alene, ID, EUA) que Philips planea escalar para respaldar a los radiólogos a nivel mundial. Esto complementa las iniciativas de innovación orgánica de Philips para ampliar su portafolio de soluciones de radiología. El negocio de Radiology Direct actualmente brinda servicios a más de 300 hospitales, centros de imágenes, servicios de imágenes móviles y consultorios médicos en todos los EUA.

La teleradiología consiste en la interpretación remota de imágenes de pacientes a partir de exámenes de imágenes médicas, como TC, RM y exámenes de rayos X, realizados por radiólogos sin necesidad de que estén en el mismo lugar que el paciente.
