Primera tecnología de reconstrucción de imágenes basada en el aprendizaje profundo recibe la aprobación de la FDA

DLIR es una opción de reconstrucción de imágenes de próxima generación que utiliza una red neuronal profunda (RNP) dedicada, para generar imágenes en TrueFidelity TC. Estas imágenes en TrueFidelity TC tienen el potencial de mejorar la confianza en la lectura para una amplia gama de aplicaciones clínicas como la cabeza, todo el cuerpo y cardiovascular para pacientes de todas las edades.

La FDA también ha otorgado la aprobación 510 (k) a tres aplicaciones adicionales de TC, introducidas recientemente por GE Healthcare en la RSNA 2018. Incluyen VCAR Hueso, VCAR Torácico con GSI Pulmonary Perfusion y SnapShot Freeze 2. Tanto VCAR Hueso como SnapShot Freeze 2 se basan en la plataforma Edison que ayuda a acelerar el desarrollo y la adopción de la tecnología de Inteligencia Artificial (IA) y permite a los proveedores brindar una atención más rápida y precisa.

VCAR Hueso utiliza un algoritmo de aprendizaje profundo para identificar y etiquetar de manera automática las vértebras para una evaluación más rápida de la columna y mejorar la eficiencia de los informes. SnapShot Freeze 2 es un algoritmo de corrección de movimiento inteligente que lleva las imágenes cardíacas al siguiente nivel al expandir la amplitud de las aplicaciones de corrección de movimiento inteligente, mejorando aún más el desempeño clínico e introduciendo la corrección de movimiento de todo el corazón. VCAR Tórax con perfusión pulmonar GSI proporciona segmentación y mediciones automatizadas para la evaluación y el seguimiento de las enfermedades torácicas. Ahora también incluye la Perfusión Pulmonar GSI dedicada, un protocolo de un solo clic para ayudar en la identificación de variaciones de la distribución de perfusión relativa en los pulmones. Las enfermedades torácicas que se pueden asociar con cambios en la perfusión incluyen embolia pulmonar o la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC).
